A guest lecture on Innovative Consumer Products was organised on February 19, 2025, for 45 I MBA (Batch 2024-26) marketing students. The session was facilitated by Mr. Mohammed Abdulla S M, Founder & Managing Director, Eden Noni, Mettupalayam, Coimbatore. The session was organized as part of the ongoing Consumer Insights course. The Eden Noni brand specializes in handmade cosmetic products made from Noni and Essential oils. With over a decade of experience in papaya cultivation, Mr. Abdulla is the first person in Tamil Nadu to implement contract farming and began with extensive research on its therapeutic benefits making way to develop sustainable formulations for skincare. Under his leadership, the company has grown into a recognized name in the herbal cosmetics industry, blending tradition with modern innovations. The session covered his entrepreneurial journey and key points in bringing differentiation in product. As part of the continuous assessment the CI students will take part in Angadi 2025 (trade & sale exhibition) and will try to understand consumer decision making processes and theories. This session helped them to explore appropriate consumer products for Angadi sale. The students were able to understand the problems in pitching a product in startup, also the technique used by him for tapping the market and networking skills. It brought the real time struggles faced by an entrepreneur in new product launching, and how he targeted and segmented prospective buyers.
