Centre of Marketing organized a workshop on “New Product Development & Entering New Market” on August 30, 2016. Mr. Sumant Bakshi Advisor MYRA Business School was the facilitator of the workshop. The resource person has many years of experience in various capacities at top firms like P&G, Glaxo, Brook Bond and UB Group. 25 students from II MBA Batch 2014 – 2016 participated in this program. The platform provided inputs on developing a new product and also the guiding principles to be followed while entering in to a new market. The facilitator introduced the concepts through experiential learning by involving the students in group activities. The speaker clearly demonstrated the significance of various key concepts including Brand Name, Packaging, Pricing, Advertising, Distribution Platform, Gross Margin, Investment, and Cost while developing new product and entering in to new market. The resource person made the session very interactive by quoting many examples from his previous experience. The overall program was coordinated by Mr.Balaji .S [2015 – 2017 Batch] under the guidance of Ms. Latha.A, Assistant Professor, CoM.
