Swagatham 2024

SWAGATHAM 2024, held on September 18, 2024, was organized to formally welcome the MBA freshers to KCT Business School. The event, saw the participation of students from the four different MBA programs- including Master in Business Administration, MBA-Project Management, MBA-Logistics and Supply Chain Management, MBA-Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Venture Development (IEV), as well as students from the Kumaraguru School of Business. The formal program commenced with a prayer song, followed by an insightful session led by Dr. Mary Cherian, Head of the Department of KCT Business School. She provided an overview of the incoming batch, highlighting the diverse undergraduate backgrounds of the students and emphasizing the opportunities awaiting them at KCT Business School. A few freshers shared their excitement and gratitude for having the opportunity to join the institution. Mr. Shankar Vanavarayar, President of Kumaraguru Institutions, delivered a warm and inspiring address, welcoming the juniors and their parents. He spoke about entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership, encouraging the students to explore their entrepreneurial potential during their time at KCT. Following this, a second-year MBA student led the KCT Business School Pledge, reaffirming the students’ commitment to the values of the institution. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. N. Shani, Principal of Kumaraguru School of Business, who expressed gratitude to all the participants for making the event a success. After the formal proceedings, the freshers were accompanied by their seniors for the Ignite Boot Camp 2024, an integration session designed to help the juniors get acquainted with campus life.
