Short-Term Training for Tribal Women on 24 July 2024

Ms.Nivedha R, Co-Founder & Director, Bliss Naturals, Coimbatore trained the tribal women of Kallarpudur, Mettupalayam Taluk on making biodegradable sanitary napkins. The one-day training programme witnessed around 20 tribal women on 24 July 2024. Dr G.Ramakrishnan, Head- Natural Fibre Research Centre & Professor, Fashion Technology jointly with Dr B.Poongodi, Associate Professor, KCT Business School and Department of Textile Engineering organised the “Training on Making of Biodegradable Sanitary Napkins from Natural Fibres” at Textile Lab, Kumaraguru College of Technology. Kallapudur is a tribal settlement in Odanthurai Panchayat, Mettupalayam Taluk and has been adopted by KCT Business School for Social Immersion Project, since 2021.
