Dr. Latha.A and Dr. Mohanamani.P participated in a research workshop titled “NVivo: Uncovering the Potency of Qualitative Data Analysis,” held on the 6th and 7th of October 2023 organized by Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts and Science in Coimbatore. The event provided participants with a deep understanding of qualitative data analysis. The forum offered both conceptual clarity and practical insights into various aspects, including thematic analysis, sentiment analysis, word cloud generation, and the analysis of social media content.

- Dr.Deepa Manickam attended One day Online Workshop on AI Tools on 8th of October 2023. The Workshop was very informative and enabled learning of few online AI Tools which can be used in our day-to-day work for better and quicker performance.
- Dr.Deepa Manickam attended Online Live Workshop on AI & Automation in MS Excel Conducted by Microsoft Certified Trainer on 15th of October 2023. The online workshop aimed at incorporating AI Tools to Excel and usage of advanced version of ChatGPT + AI+ prompt Engineering+ Excel+ PowerPoint, But all the tools taught in the workshop could be used only by subscribing to AutomateX a software developed by the Trainer.
Dr Vivek Raj S N, Assistant Professor – Analytics
Dr. Vivek Raj S N took part in an online faculty development program on business forecasting: time series data analysis held by the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam from October 2–6, 2023. The FDP covers a variety of methods for forecasting time series, including ETS, Box-Jenkins Methodology, Conditional Heteroskedasticity, Multi Variate Time Series, and Machine Learning Models. A Diverse audience, including individuals from academia and corporate, attended the seminars, which were conducted in a practical mode using R programming.
Dr Poongodi B, Associate Professor –Marketing
Dr.B.Poongodi, KCT Business representing Centre for Weavers, Kumaraguru Institutions attended Kath and Padar Event at Paittan, Aurangabad district, Maharashtra 27-28 October 2023 organised by The Vishwas & Anuradha Memorial (TVAM) Foundation along with State Government of Maharashtra. TVAM was founded by Ms.Rasika Wakalkar in Mar 2019 who is committed to researching, celebrating and informing the general public of the rich textile traditions of the Deccan. The objectives of the visit is to exchange of knowledge on traditional textiles between Centre for Weavers, Kumaraguru Institutions and TVAM Foundation, Pune. The visit was taken up to explore the special type of ancient Paithani weaving and the success of their branding that can provide insights for promoting our region’s traditional handloom. Dr. Poongodi along with Dr.G.Ramakrishnan, Professor, Department of Fashion Technology also had the opportunity to learn the ancient wood craft used in Paithani weaving and cooperative model of Paittan’s weavers’ centre. The duo has discussed the possibilities for research and collaboration in traditional textiles & ancient design with Ms.Rasika Wakalkar, TVAM Foundation, Pune.
