
Dr. S. Sarath
Assistant Professor
Dr. Sarath S is an academician and researcher specializing in Agri-Business Management. He holds a PhD from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, awarded with the prestigious ICSSR Full-Term Doctoral Fellowship. His research primarily focused on agritourism development, contributing significantly to policy formulation and sustainable development models. His policy recommendations were recognized in the Tamil Nadu Government Agricultural Budget 2023, and he has been inducted as a member for developing agritourism policies under agricultural universities’ regulations by the 48th All India Agricultural Universities Vice Chancellors’ Conclave.
With over four years of research and two years of teaching experience, Dr. Sarath specializes in socio-economic data analysis using SPSS and STATA. He previously served as an Assistant Professor at NITTE School of Management, Bangalore, mentoring students in agribusiness, entrepreneurship, and strategic management.
A prolific writer, Dr. Sarath has contributed over 100 opinion editorials to leading English and Tamil dailies. He has published more than 10 research articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his work at national and international conferences. His expertise has also led to invitations as a guest speaker on AIR Kodaikanal FM and other prominent Tamil television channels.
Dr. Sarath is the author of three books on agriculture and rural development. He is frequently invited by agricultural universities and colleges to deliver guest lectures on sustainable agriculture, rural development, and agribusiness. Passionate about improving rural livelihoods and fostering innovation in agribusiness, he continues to make a lasting impact on research, policy, and education.
