One day workshop on Building Managerial Skill for NGO leaders was organized on May 10, 2016. 28 participants and 8 volunteers participated in the workshop from Coimbatore, Pollachi, Tirupur, Thalavadi, Tiruchi and Bengaluru. The workshop had 4 sessions starting with self awareness and interpersonal relationship, 360 Degree leadership, Grants and resources for sustainability and Mapping prospective projects from corporate.
Training Program for Airport Authorities of India Ltd

A major CSR Initiative “Project Delight Your Passenger (DYP)” – Training Program for 120 Ground Staff, was done by the HR center for Airport Authorities of India Ltd. The Project included identification of training need for eight departments ( Counter staff, Vendors, House Keeping, Trolley Staff, Car Parking Staff, Commercial Staff , Security )of AAI. The project started in May 2014, where a team of five students were a part of the training need identification. A one month internship at the airport helped the team understand the need and a training module was developed for the same. The HR centre designed the content and the training program based on the approved modules. This work submitted to the AAI received appreciations. The first program for the top level executives of Airport Authority of India was delivered on Leadership on October 1, 2014. The consecutive program for housekeeping and loading staff was delivered by Dr.Hemanalini on October 8, 2014. This session emphasized on Self Esteem, Commitment at Workplace and more importantly Time management for improved work performance. A session on handling customers was delivered by Mr.Senthil Prakash to the team of vendors on October15, 2014. A few more sessions will happen in the coming weeks for the other batches.
Outreach for the Marketing Executives of the postal Department

Centre of Marketing, KCT Business School has conducted two day training for the Marketing executives of India Post. The training programme was inaugurated by the Ms. Manju P Pillai IPS, Postmaster General, Western Region, on 26th of August 2014. The participants enjoy and learn various techniques to manage their customers & Service. Participants are encouraged to actively participate in various activities of training programme and also to implement the outcomes of the programme at the work place. KCT Business School has taken this CSR initiative in-line with the vision of the Chairman of the Institution Arutchelvar Dr.N. Mahalingam. A team faculty and students of MBA program are actively involved in conducting the training programme. Ms.A. Latha, Assistant Professor at KCT Business School has coordinated the entire event.
Soft Skill training Program for Department of Post, Government of India

KCT Business School won a bid from India Posts to conduct soft skill training programs for its employees in January 2014. Project Arrow was conceived in April, 2008. The project aims at creating a conducive and friendly work environment both for the staff and the customers visiting the Post Offices, providing all IT enabled services through secure connectivity, improving the service quality levels in the core business areas. Accepting the project, the faculty team spent 320 man hours in preparing the bilingual course materials. KCT.BS engaged in 80 hours of training 531 postmen, another 112 hours of training 363 postal assistants. 11 faculty members and 20 students were involved in the training programs which were spread over 24 days in a span of 2 months. A total of 192 hours and 5,952 man hours were spent for this CSR initiative. Faculty spent these 192 hours of training as a social initiative in addition to all their regular academic and administrative activities. Some comments received from the participants “The training program was very inspiring”; “The program was easy to understand”; “The content of the program was good”; “Trainers are knowledgeable”; “I learnt many things from the program”. We have received high feedback scores.
Financial Planning for Non- Teaching and Admin Staff
A webinar on Financial Planning for Non- Teaching and Admin Staff was organized for 41 Non-Academic and Admin Staff, which was facilitated by Mr. Gowtham Dhamadhoraswamy Founder Fincliniq and Authorized partner Zerodha. Mr. Gowtham reiterated the importance of financial freedom and explained the finer points of Insurance, Mutual Fund, Importance of Time in Saving and Rule 72.
International Practicum on Innovative Solutions of Child Poverty
KCT Business School was a training partner for the International Practicum on Innovative Solutions of Child Poverty organized by Shanti Ashram and Arigatou International from November 1 – 6, 2017. The 13 participants from Nepal, Sri Lanka, Kenya and various parts of India were in KCT Business school on November 3, 2017 for a session on “Leadership for a Better World”.
Entrepreneur Development Program – Shanti Ashram
An Entrepreneur Development Program for 11 women tailors was jointly organized by Shanti Ashram and KCT. BS on October 10, 2017. The capacity building program had 2 sessions- Confidence building and Business Plan.
Training program for Airport Authorities of India, Coimbatore
Business School extended its service to Coimbatore International Airport through the Project – Delight Your Passenger. The training program would cover employees at all levels who are a part of the Airport Authorities of India, Coimbatore. 169 airport staffs (Housekeeping & Security) underwent sessions on Self Confidence & Stress management.
Social Immersion Projects
Students of II MBA (Batch 2019-21) completed their Social Immersion Project, SIP 2021 as part of their course. 178 students of 27 teams connected with 19 NGOs and 2 Government organizations and 2 Corporates and worked on nine of the seventeen UN SDG’s extending support to 3841 beneficiaries in villages in India
Students of II MBA (Batch 2018-20) completed their Social Immersion Project, SIP 2020 as part of their course. 178 students of 28 teams connected with 21 NGOs and 4 Government organizations and worked on 21 different types of projects extending support to 3335 beneficiaries in villages around Coimbatore city. The theme of the project revolved around the UN theme of Sustainability & Development
Students of II MBA (Batch 2017-19) KCT Business School completed their Social Immersion Project, SIP 2019 as part of their course. 180 students of 30 teams connected with 18 NGO’s and worked on 15 different types of projects benefitting 3305 beneficiaries in villages around Coimbatore city. Teams carried out projects on UN themes on Sustainable Development Goals like Good Health and Wellbeing, Decent work and Economic growth, Life on Land, No Poverty, Gender Equality, Clean water and sanitation, Zero Hunger, Climate change, Industry Innovation and Infrastructure. By associating with 18 NGO partners the 17th theme of UN goal “Partnerships for the Goals” were also achieved.
