Fake Product Exhibition on April 12, 2022.
As part of the Consumer Insights Course, the I MBA students (Batch 2021-23) displayed the fake products available in the local market on April 12, 2022. Two students Sathyan S and Saju J of I MBA organized to source fake products, and brands available from markets. Students participated and displayed the fake products along with the original products. Dr B.Poongodi facilitated a discussion on the fake and original with their features and prices. March 15th is observed as Consumer Rights Day and the fake product exhibition threw more light on this grey market and how it affects the end-users. Various aspects of consumer rights, viz., Right to Safety, Right to be informed, Right to choose, Right to be heard, Right to seek redressal and Right to Consumer Education were deliberated in the class with the help of fake product exhibition. The student coordinators were Sathyan S and Saju J of I MBA along with Dr B.Poongodi – Assistant Professor Marketing.
