Kindness Day on November 13, 2024 The World Kindness Day celebration held on November 13, 2024, aimed to promote kindness among students and encourage positive interactions within the community. One of the key activities was the creation of a Kindness Wall, where students were invited to write anonymous kind messages and positive thoughts. The wall quickly became a focal point of the event, filled with uplifting notes that inspired students to reflect on the importance of kindness. To further enhance the celebration, each student received a customized note with a thoughtful message and a chocolate as a small token of appreciation, spreading joy and reminding everyone of the power of kindness. The event was met with great enthusiasm, as students actively participated in writing on the Kindness Wall and shared smiles over the tokens they received
The Carrom Clash by Student Association on November 14-15, 2024
The MBA Students’ Association organized a two-day event, The Carrom Clash on November 14-15, 2024, which brought together students for a fun-filled and competitive gaming experience. The event saw enthusiastic participation from 33 students across various departments, with over .The tournament was conducted in a knockout format, ensuring high stakes and exciting rounds. Day 1 featured preliminary matches along with quarterfinals and semi-finals, where players battled for a spot in the finals. On Day 2, the competition grew fiercer with the grand finale, where the top two players competed for the championship title. The final match was particularly exciting, with players demonstrating exceptional skill and composure under pressure. The winner of The Carrom Clash was Hariram SK 24MBA063, and the runner-up Dinesh Keshavan R 23MBA036. The MBA Students’ Association and the volunteers from I MBA students – Dinoban R – 24MBA045, Vikasini M 24MBA179 and Sri Dhanyaa V – 24MBA154 displayed meticulous planning and execution of the event, which proved to be a perfect blend of recreation and teamwork.
Certification Awareness Program by Mr.Binu VS, Assistant Professor on November 25, 2024
On November 25,2024, KCT Business School Student Association organized the Certification Awareness Program to provide students with insights into professional certifications in finance. The session was led by Mr. Binu, Assistant Professor, a Certified Financial Planner and Fintech consultant, who highlighted the importance of selecting certifications aligned with long-term career goals. Ranking certifications by their value, he placed CA (Chartered Accountant) as the most prestigious, followed by CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) and CFP (Certified Financial Planner). While he acknowledged the relevance of NISM certifications like Research Analyst, Merchant Banking, NISM 10A, and NISM 10B, he suggested these as supplementary options for specialized roles in finance. Mr. Binu explained the rigorous nature of certifications, noting that completing a CA could take up to five years, but assured students that the effort is well worth the reward. Mr. Binu encouraged students to view failures as opportunities for growth and to stay committed to their goals. His motivational insights left students inspired to approach their certification journeys with confidence and clarity. He recommended exploring NISM certifications for niche roles after mastering foundational financial concepts. The event provided students with practical knowledge and a roadmap to navigate their careers, truly setting them on their pathway to financial excellence.
