An Awareness Session on Good Samaritan Act & Training Session on Emergency First Response on 11 August 2024
On August 11, 2024, KCT Business School jointly with Young Indians (Yi) hosted a Sensitization Training Session on Emergency First Response in Kalarpudhur village, Mettupalayam. The demonstrations sensitised the community in fighting emergencies to promote its capacity to respond to them. The session was facilitated by Mr Venkatesan from Alert NGO who shared extensive experience and practical lessons on some of the crucial and fundamental emergency drill procedures. JaiGanesh S.P and Kunguma Sandeepan K.S. students of II MBA coordinated the event under the guidance of Dr B. Poongodi and Dr A. D Shalini Prieya, SIP Coordinators – KCTBS. Mr Nishanth Sivaswamy, Chairman, Ms Sruthi, Co-Chairman & Mr Pitchappan A R, Core Team Member, Yi Road Safety, supported in planning the event. Mr RajMohan Co-Chairman, Yi Rural Initiatives and Road Safety addressed the gathering and reemphasized the importance of such life skills. The session had 60 members’ engagement making the event positive and more equipped for handling emergencies in personal and communal issues. This event establishes yet another fruitful partnership of KCTBS and Young Indians for the betterment of society and its safety, hence reflecting on the useful impact created.
