Dr. K. Raman

Dr K Raman, holds a BSc(Agri); MSc(Agri); PhD(Agri);  MBA(Marketing); Diploma (Training & Development)  and MSc(Appl. Psychology). He also holds Advance Certificates on Agri Inputs Marketing (IIM-Ahmedabad); Entrepreneurship Development & Venture Creation ( IIM-Kozhikode); Business Analytics &  Business Intelligence from (IIM-Rohtak); Leadership with AI (ISB-Hyderabad), and  Business Consulting  (AIMA,  New Delhi). Dr Raman has more than  30+  years of  professional  , experience in successfully handling different verticals of the company, M/s Godrej Agrovet Ltd., which includes, New Products  Development, Market Research & Development, Sales & Marketing, Production, Rural Retailing, Operations, and General Management. He was instrumental in developing  new products and designing successful  marketing strategies for  a wide range of Agricultural  products of the company. 

He was also actively involved in the idea conceptualization and launching of `Godrej Aadhaar’ – a One-Stop Rural Retaining initiative of Godrej Agrovet Ltd.,.  At Godrej Aadhaar, besides involving in business development,  he was also  appreciated  for starting of  `Godrej Grukul’- a Rural Education model for the training  of  village youths on practical aspects of agriculture, and many other rural based initiatives for transfer of technology at farmer level. 

He was also closely associated with NABARD and M/s Pratham Infotech Ltd. (a leading NGO in education), for entrepreneurial development among rural youths and farmers. The agricultural syllabus developed by him, for Godrej Gurukul,  was later adopted by ` Welingkar Institute of Management, Mumbai  to start a one year        PG Diploma Program in Agribusiness Management.

Dr Raman has authored two chapters in book and has 15 scientific papers and popular articles  to his credit and has presented research papers in national and international conferences.   He is also a corporate Trainer and  regular motivational  speaker at various  management forums as well as at some of the leading B-Schools for MDP, FDP and  MBA programs   eg. IIT, Mumbai, MANAGE & NAARM, Hyderabad, MMA, Chennai, Agricultural Universities etc. He is an Accredited Management Teacher (AMT)  of AIMA and holds memberships  of  AIMA, New Delhi, MMA, Chennai,  and ISTD, New Delhi. Dr Raman has also served as an expert for agriculture at CII, Hyderabad, during 2012-14. Dr Raman has also widely travelled to more than 18 countries for business development.
