Khelo Kabaddi on September 25 to 27, 2024

The YI Khelo Kabaddi event, organized as part of Blitz 2.0, took place from September 25 to 27 2024 at the Kumaraguru College Campus in Coimbatore. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 770 players across 64 teams based on different categories: Below 19 years of age (men & women), Above 19 years of age (men & women) representing various parts of Tamil Nadu. The tournament was conducted on three courts, spread across the ground and the Orb within the college premises. The event was coordinated by a team of 20 referees, under the guidance of Mr. Muthukumar – Physical Director, KCT and Mr. Kamala Kanna – Associate Physical Education, Ms.Ellammal – Physical Training Instructor, KCT who headed the organizing efforts. The event was made possible by the dedicated efforts of volunteers from KCT Business School, the Physical Department, and staff members who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Their commitment ensured seamless registration, efficient coordination, and warm hospitality, contributing to the smooth execution of the event. The YI Khelo Kabaddi event not only fostered a competitive spirit among the players but also emphasized the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork, and physical endurance.

The final day of the event saw the presence of esteemed chief guests, including Mr. Tharan – National Vice Chairman of YI, Mr. Arun Rathnad – National Vice Chair Designate, Mr. Vishal Mehta – Regional Chair of YI SRTN, Mr. Vishnu Prabhakar – YI Coimbatore Chair, and Mr. Nishant Sivaswamy – Chair of Rural Initiatives. These distinguished guests graced the occasion to honour the winners marking a memorable conclusion to the tournament.
