Sierra ODC Technologies on September 13 & 20, 2024

Dr. M. Rani, Associate Professor, KCT Business School   with 75 students from II MBA(Batch 2023-25)  from KCT Business School,  visited Sierra ODC Technologies in Kalapatti on September 13 &20, 2024 ( 30 students & 45 students in two batches). The LEED Platinum-certified green building showcased sustainable practices in energy efficiency and resource management. The visit aimed to provide students with real-world insights into green building technology and sustainability. Students gained practical exposure to environmentally responsible business operations, reinforcing the importance of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17—Partnerships for the Goals.  

GreenEra Recyclers, Bodipalayam on September 13, 2024

SixStudents from KCT Business School had the opportunity to visit GreenEra Recyclers, Bodipalayam and gain valuable insights into e-waste management. This visit proved to be an enlightening experience, highlighting the importance of sustainable recycling practices to minimize environmental harm. The visit provided a comprehensive understanding of the processes involved in e-waste management, including how electronic waste is dismantled, processed, and disposed of safely, with a focus on recovering valuable materials. The students learned about the significant environmental and economic benefits that come with responsible e-waste management, emphasizing its role in reducing the ecological footprint. A key takeaway was the role of recycling in promoting a circular economy, reducing the dependence on raw materials, and fostering a more sustainable future.A special appreciation goes to the team at GreenEra Recyclers and Dr. Shalini Prieya A D, Assistant Professor, KCT Business School for providing this invaluable learning experience.
