IKEA Visit
On April 29, 2024, 1st MBA General Management students visited the “IKEA”, Bengaluru as part of the Consumer Insights course. The resource person Mr Fransisco from Customer Relations has explained the IKEA history, strategic design structure of store and the benefits of being an IKEA family member. The students were exposed to the multinational IKEA retail store at Nagasandra, Bengaluru which retails 7500 articles in 8 different sections. Mr. Iftiqar Ahmed Shariff has addressed our students with a detailed explanation of Planet & Earth – Sustainability Practices, the relevance of the story behind each article as a persuasive tool and the speciality of the Swedish restaurant at the store. He deliberated how IKEA responsibly sources raw materials from 500 different locations across the globe, the speciality of recycled and eco-friendly products. The virtual shopping, website content, social media marketing and doorstep delivery were addressed by Mr. Sachin Andrew Pinto, Marketing Specialist, at IKEA. The industry visit was coordinated by Harith N 23MBA053 and Infanta Steffy Rose J 23MBA059 under the guidance of Dr Poongodi B & Ms Preetha G, Faculty – KCT Business School.
