Enhancing the Life Skills of School Children on September 18, 2021
An outreach session titled “Enhancing the life skills of school children” was conducted on September 18, 2021, 97 students and one faculty of the Government aided school attended the session. Ms.Pranavi Jay, Her-D spoke on” Mind matters”. She provided valuable insights on the importance of understanding the self, needs and expectations of others, learning to control emotions to integrate ourselves with the world. Dr V Shripria of KCT Business School discussed Creativity, Problem solving, Communication and Collaboration during her session on “Basic Learning Skills” and gave useful tips and suggestions to enhance their learning skills. Dr D Susana of KCT Business School gave insights on “ Managing Money” to enhance the financial literacy of the school children, the session covered the five aspects of Money – Earn, Spend, Borrow, Protect and Invest and the basic concepts on inflation and the importance of making investments. This outreach was coordinated by Dr. Shripria V, Professor- Entrepreneurship and Dr. Susana D, Assistant Professor- Finance.
