Dr. S. Murugappan Professor and researcher facilitated a workshop on Multivariate Analysis Tools for 130 I MBA students as a part of the Research Methodology Course on April 11, 2019. He deliberated on the Discriminant, Cluster analysis, Multidimensional scaling. The proposed session covered Multivariate Techniques viz. Cluster Analysis and Discriminant Analysis. By learning these techniques, students will be able to apply these techniques in their managerial decision-making process. The overview of these topics gave insights to analyze different data types which will enable them to make decisions in business scenarios. The techniques can also be applied in writing research papers. The analysis and interpretation of these techniques were taught in SPSS software. The lively examples cited during the session improved the understanding of the students on the subject. Ms Ramya Shree M of 2018-20 batch served as the student coordinator for the workshop.
