Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Program for 38 II MBA Operations specialization students (Batch 2019-21) was conducted from November 2-6, 2020. Lean Six Sigma is a rigorous and disciplined methodology that uses statistical analysis to reduce the variability and defectiveness through statistical tools resulting in continuous process improvements which seeks to maximize profit by improving product quality / productivity, streamlining processes, reducing wastage and improving customer service. Students are trained in using mathematical, graphical and statistical process control tools like Flow Charts, Pareto Charts, Cause and Effect Diagrams and Histograms. SIPOC and DMAIC (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control), Hypothesis Testing, formulating the Null and Alternative Hypotheses, ANOVA, Nonparametric Testing and Correlation and Regression analysis formed a part of the program. They were trained to use the Minitab software. The program concluded with an assessment test conducted by authorized partner of TUV(SUD), Germany, and the certificate will be issued by TUV. The program was coordinated by Dr.R.Vinayagasundaram, Associate Professor.
