Dr Deepa Manickam was the Chief Guest for the Annual day function at BOON MY FIRST SCHOOL, Erode on 24th of December 2022. She gave a speech on Child Development and spoke about Kumaraguru College of Technology’s NAAC Highest Grade and highlighted the importance of Education for all.
Dr Poongodi B, Assistant Professor –Marketing
Dr.Poongodi B, Assistant Professor – Marketing, KCT Business School facilitated a session on “Sales Etiquettes” for the sales and service engineers at Carex Services, Coimbatore. Carex Services is the authorized Channel Partner of GE Health Care and operates in 17 districts of Tamil Nādu, dealing with Radiology and Sonology medical equipment. The program was organized as part of their Annual Plan meeting on 7th January 2023, at the premises of the Carex Services Head Quarters. The training program was offered to 24 members which included the MD, Marketing Head, and Sales and Service engineers. The session began with a welcome note by Mr Prabhakaran P, Managing Director, Carex Services, followed by the guest talk. The facilitator covered Etiquettes – general understanding, types of etiquettes and etiquettes for success. The session was interactive with the participants sharing examples from their experiences and discussing the key points of telephone etiquette. The participants thanked Dr B.Poongodi for facilitating the session.

Dr B.Poongodi from KCT Business School has been nominated as Task Force Head – Assessment & Evaluation for the New Regulations ’23 for the Undergraduate Programme of KCT. As part of the framework-building process for Regulations ’23, Dr B.Poongodi along with Dr K.Kumaravel, Assistant Professor (III), Dept of BioTechnology and Dr Dhivya J, Assistant Professor, Dept of Mathematics visited benchmark institutes of national repute in December 2022. The team visited Indian Institute of Technology, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Delhi and Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow – Noida Campus. The team met the experts consisting of professors & academicians and gathered details related to course offerings, credit flexibility, assessment methods, curriculum framework, and pedagogy through a personal interview method.
Programs Attended
Dr B.Poongodi, Assistant Professor (II), KCT Business School jointly with Dr G.Ramakrishnan, Prof. & Head, Fashion Technology, KCT successfully completed the Virtual Evaluations of Handloom start-up Grand Challenge on 22 December 2022 through online mode organized by start-up India. The duo jointly presented the start-up Idea titled “Technology Upgradation in Handlooms for Improving the livelihood of Weavers” and answered the queries of the panelists. The call for participation came in August 2022 and was one among 6 teams in India short-listed for the second round.
