A team comprising Dr Poongodi, Dr R.Vinayagasundaram, Associate Professors, Mr Venkateshwaran S (I MBA) of KCT Business School and Dr M.Balaji, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, KCT visited Sree Anandhakumar Mills Private Limited, Sathy Road, Coimbatore on 06 February 2023. The team was well received by Mr R.Balakrishnan, HR Manager who gave an introduction on the firm’s inception, product line, labour acquisition, retention, and employee training in the factory premises. Subsequently, the team was taken to the factory by the Quality Head who explained the entire production process – starting from receipt of inventory as bales of cotton, cleaning of cotton, opening in the blow room, sliving and passing through the spinning in a certain revolution per second to form the yarn, at the stage where it winds on the cone.  The team had a discussion with Mr R. Venkataraman, Joint Managing Director regarding the industry trends, opportunities for student internships and consultancy. The faculty team thanked the hosts for supporting them in experiencing the spinning production process.
