In-house Training Program on “Lean Manufacturing Practices” was organized on March 5, 2018 for the employees working at Kongu Enginears, Arasur, Coimbatore. Team based activity was given to the 33 participants to understand the Lean concepts viz. 5S, Structured flow process, and Just-in-Time. Participants showed involvement and interest in participating in the events. Practical examples were discussed on how to reduce wastage in work place and tools and techniques required to improve a process and product quality. Dr. S.Jaisankar, Associate Professor, Centre of Operations organized and facilitated the program.
