A session on Health and Wellness for Young Adults was organized for two batches of I MBA students on November 9, 2017. The speaker for the session was Dr. Sue Royappa, Full bright Scholar from United States and she is the Chief Medical Officer and Director of, Health Secure Foundation, San Diego, California. Dr. Sue spoke on preventing infectious disease spread in a closed setting like a college, where she gave a broad understanding and prevention to be done in case of Dengue, meningitis, flu, colds, typhoid, malaria and the appropriate vaccines for the same. Dr. Sue emphasized how anxiety and depression in young adult leads to suicide and the ways to prevent it. Her session also highlighted on nutrition and physical activity to maintain a healthy weight and to avoid diseases like diabetes, heart attacks and strokes. The session was very informative and useful to the students and the faculty who attended. The guest lecture was coordinated by Deepa Manickam, Assistant Professor –II, School of HR
