Guest lecture on The Midas Touch by Mr Mahendra Vellingiri, Co-Founder, Coitor IT Tech, Coimbatore on February 23, 2023.
Mr Mahendra Vellingiri, Co-Founder, Coitor IT Tech, Coimbatore delivered a guest lecture on “The Midas Touch”. He addressed the I & II MBA Marketing students on Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Metaverse Technologies in effective engagement of the customers. Mr Mahendra explained the difference between AR and VR applications. He explained how AR-VR technology works and enhances business development. He demonstrated VR technology used in a Furniture showroom. He shared his first business with Reader’s Digest and how a scratch card helped to track the customers’ data. He quoted the day-to-day examples from Instagram and Snapchat facial filters for the use of AR technologies.
Live demos of a Singapore client using the phygital objects for shopping and product experiences were demonstrated in the guest session. The speaker deliberated on Metaverse and cited companies like Spatial.io, Robotix, Decentral Land, and Zepto that are operating in this space. The students found the session useful. The Guest Lecture was attended by I & II MBA marketing students, Mr S.N.Vivek Raj, Dr B.Poongodi and other faculty members of KCT Business School. The speech was insightful for the students to understand their role in future tech-driven marketing. The session was interactive with several questions from students and faculty members.


Seminar on CEO 2030 – Skills that would Entail in 2030 by Mr Ram Subramaniam, Co-Founder, My Money Karma on February 01, 2023.
Mr Ram Subramanian is a serial entrepreneur and researcher in entrepreneurship, finance and IT. He works in international business strategy, IT strategy and fintech entrepreneurship. He operates at the intersection of industry and academia and offers custom courses and business, management and IT. He was the founder of Shiva Corporation, co-founder of Airomo and presently co-founder of My money Karma. The welcome address was given by CMA Student Coordinator.
Mr Ram Subramaniam talked about the CEO competencies and leadership skills unique to the position. He explained the types of CEO and their function. He prompted the students to question themselves. The session was an eye-opener for students who wished to become CEOs in future. He also spoke about how important leadership in the future is. The session gave a brief insight into CEO job descriptions, skills and their types. Dr Shripria, Professor, KCT Business School organized this Seminar for MBA Students.
