Guest lecture on Rethink, Reinvent – Leapfrog to the Future by Mr Sekhar Ram Rao, Director of Microsoft Business Application at a Leading systems integrator in UAE on December 02, 2022.
A Guest Lecture entitled “RETHINK, REINVENT- LEAP FROG TO THE FUTURE’ was conducted at KCTBS Campus on Friday 2nd December 2022. The programme was jointly hosted by KCT Business School and KCT West Campus. Mr Shekar Ram Rao eminent IT professional and system integrator from UAE addressed around 100 participants from both institutions. Mr Shekar Ram briefed about the various technological interventions across various domains and industries. He purposefully motivated the students on various knowledge enhancements and skill updating for a bright and purposeful career. He also highlighted the various key scenarios that have to be either complemented or challenged in the near future. The program was organized by Dr V. Kaarthiekheyan, Associate Professor, KCT.BS is ably supported by KCT West campus staff and other team members.
Guest lecture on Evolution of Corporate Strategy by Mr Raja Selvam, Assistant Director, Strategy & Transactions, Ernst & Young Global Business Services India LLP on December 13, 2022.
An online Guest Lecture was organized from 7.30 to 8.35 PM on Tuesday, Dec 13, 2022, for the second-year MBA students of the Strategic Management core course by Dr K.R.Senthilvelkumar, Professor, KCT.BS.. Mr. Raja Selvam, Asst. Director – Strategy & Transactions, Ernst & Young Global Business Services India LLP, urged the students to be prepared for corporate strategy formulation, as it is as much from the bottom up as it is from the top down. He explained how several large companies which were once successful disappeared from the market, as they did not care to formulate effective corporate strategies focusing on the future. He added that a basic framework like Porter’s Five Forces Model will be useful for students in effectively analyzing a company from any industry and in helping them understand the available strategic options. Mr Raja Selvam answered the queries related to the alignment of corporate strategies with business and functional level strategies subsequently and advised students to develop the habit of reading non-fiction books to become ready for their future career roles. The Online Guest Lecture on ‘Evolution of Corporate Strategy’ enabled MBA students to understand the importance of devising the right corporate strategies at the right time to sustain business success and achieve further growth. Also, comprehend the real-life application of strategic management concepts and how corporate strategies are formulated and implemented by organizations.

Guest lecture on Selling to Invisible Customers by Mr Narendran Sivasubramaniam, Manager & Academic Head, Aakash Educational Services Limited, Coimbatore on December 14, 2022.
An online Guest Lecture was organized from 7.00 to 8.30 PM on Wednesday, Dec 14, 2022, for the second-year MBA students of the Sales and Distribution Management elective course by Dr K.R.Senthilvelkumar, Professor, KCT.BS. Mr Narendran Subramaniam, Manager & Academic Head, Aakash Educational Services Ltd, Coimbatore, explained the prerequisites for being successful in the sales and marketing field. He emphasized on the importance of understanding the needs and wants of potential customers. He added that besides focusing on their customers, marketers should work towards convincing the people who influence the customers’ purchases. He quoted several incidents from his sales and marketing experiences to describe how important it is for marketers to not miss the invisible consumers who are outside the target group but are either potential customers themselves or are great influencers on the purchases of others. But they are often ignored by marketers. He answered the queries raised at the end and advised the students on how to get ready for a career in sales and marketing. The Online Guest Lecture on ‘Selling to Invisible Consumers’ enabled MBA students to understand as to how to train themselves to become effective sales managers and what competencies are essential to achieve career success. Also, comprehend the approaches needed for marketers to understand the direct target customers and the potential consumers as well as the influencers to achieve the maximum penetration and growth for their products and services.

Guest lecture on MS Project – Application & Benefits by Mr J Senthilvel, General Manager, CADD Centre, Coimbatore on December 14, 2022.
A guest lecture on ‘MS Project’ was organized on 14.12.22, for II MBA 2021-23 and I MBA PM 2022-24 Batch students by Dr Jaisankar S, Associate Professor, KCT.BS. The major objective of the course was to demonstrate the development of project plans, assign resources and track project progress using MS Project and make the students understand the use of MS Project in the workplace and in industry. Mr Senthilvel, General Manager, CADD Centre, Coimbatore was the resource person. The resource demonstrated how to work in MS Project with an example and highlighted the importance of managing projects. The lecture also helped the students to acquire working knowledge of the tools. The session was interactive with the question-and-answer session.
