India maintains equi distance among west and east. With respect to trade, 1940, GATT was formed, Many countries agreed to work together to reduce barriers on trade and boost trade among nations, in multilateral fashion, simplifying rules to smooth trade. Later WTO boosted trade and investments in those lines. There is lack of trade in last 15 years, due to business dilemma, as countries felt other nations need to reduce the barriers and not really so. G20 is good forum which promotes regional trade agreements. Negotiating for a few countries is much easier than with 100 nations. 152 students attended the session. The event was organized by Dr. S. Sangeetha, Associate Professor KCTBS on April 19, 2023 for batch 2022-24 students.
