A guest lecture titled “ROAD MAP TO A CAREER IN DATA SCIENCE & ANALYTICS” was held for the KCTBS 1st year MBA students who all are enrolled for the specialization in Programming for Business Analytics on April 12, 2022 (Tuesday) between 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm. The Chief Guest of the program is Ms Sangavi Loganathan KCT.BS Alumni Data Science Consultant – Fractal Analytics. She is a data science Practitioner and an alumnus of KCTBS. She is currently working as a data science consultant in Fractal Analytics and handles FMCG clients primarily from US Geography. In this guest lecture, she explained applications and use cases, mainly in healthcare technology. Then she explained the cancer diagnosis by comparing the technology before and now, i.e. how cancer diagnosis changed after introducing AI into technology. Then she spoke about drug discovery. She gave an example of UBER, the users of iPhone are not able to use their app facility, so they made changes in that and after they got many customers. After she explained about data science in customer churn, where competitors are more, and the consumer has more options. Then about autonomous driving where the company collects data of customer feedback and problem in the vehicle to identify and service it then and there instantly. Data science is a job family where job roles like Data architect, Data engineering, Data analyst, Data scientist, Business intelligence analyst, Data visualization expert, Analytics consultant, Analytics specialist, Product management, Product analyst, and Retention strategist everything come under.
