A guest lecture on Corporate Social Responsibility was organized for students of II MBA (Batch 2019-21) as part of the Business Ethics Course. The lecture was facilitated by Mr. G. Balasubramaniam, Company Secretary, Roots India Ltd., Coimbatore on February 23, 2021. The guest introduced the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility and the respective legal provisions and requisites. The theme was then taken for discussion with the help of small case study scenarios from Roots India Ltd., followed by question-and-answer session. Students were made to understand the legal and ethical perspectives of corporate social responsibility which could be an integral component of the Business ethics course.  156 II MBA students (Batch 2019-21) along with 3 faculty attended the lecture.
