Dr.B.Poongodi along with the project team led by Dr. G. Ramakrishnan , Principal Investigator, DST – SEED project on Enhancing Livelihood of Handloom Weavers Samathur weavers at Pollachi on December 19,2016. The objective of the meeting was to explain on the DST funded project to weavers and the activities to be carried out. Dr B.Poongodi, Asst.Prof, KCT-BS and Co-investigator briefed the weavers on designs, branding and marketing of handloom products through innovative methods and on offering necessary training to the weavers. She also shared the knowledge gathered in the recent CII organised handloom conference to the weavers chaired by Honourable Minister for Textiles Smt. Smriti Irani
