A Faculty Development Program was organized by Center for HR on “Effective Engagement in Consulting” exclusively for the faculty members of St. Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology, Mangalore. Management consulting is an important part in the life of management educators alongside management education and research. Consulting provides an ideal opportunity to contribute to the body of knowledge. It enhances experience and the skills acquired through management education and research adds immense value to a faculty. It also provides the best opportunity for professional practice, which generates and tests new ideas about management education. It also paves way to identify new areas and approaches to research.This exclusive program was designed, developed and delivered by a team of senior faculty members including Prof. Swaminathan, Prof .GK Suresh, and Dr. Kirupa Priyadarsini, Associate Professor . This is the third program that is organized and conducted in this academic year for various institutions on consulting.

The two day program held on November 28-29, 2017 aimed at equipping participants to identify potential consultancy assignments, create an awareness about the avenues available for consulting in functional Management areas and to enable the faculty members to design and deliver consulting assignments on their own. Thirty faculty members attended and benefited from the program that was delivered on a workshop mode. The program was coordinated by Prof.Rajendra Desai, Dean MDP, AIMIT, Mangalore and Dr. Kirupa Priyadarsini, Associate Professor, Centre of HR.
