As a part of the Integrated Marketing Communications course, a guest lecture on Creating Effective Advertisements for TV and Digital Media was organized for 55 II MBA students on September 27, 2018. Ms.Roshini Chandran, Director and Producer, Advertising Film Making was invited as the resource person. She has directed over 100+ advertising films and worked with many national brands. The forum provided inputs on the process involved in developing ad films more specifically developing creative scripts, deciding on the cast, costumes, venue of the shoot and so on. The facilitator quoted numerous examples and played live ad films which she has directed over the years. ITC – Bingo, Aashirvaad, RMKV – Wedding Silks, Gold Winner, Bharat Matrimony services, Meera Tulsi …, are the few ads which were played to demonstrate the creative process involved in developing an effective. This guest lecture was coordinated by Latha A, Assistant Professor, Centre of Marketing.
