October 2018 was buzzing with placement drives from seven leading companies and 21 offers. Grant Thornton, world’s leading accounting firm visited the campus and three offers were made. India’s leading FMCG giants ITC and Coca Cola visited the campus and students have bagged offers from these companies. Leading tyre manufactures MRF have made four offers to our students in an off-campus drive. Eight students hit the jackpot with Muthoot Fin Corp. Solution provider New Age Sys have made three offers and education service provider Jaro Education have also offered jobs for our students.

Company Specific Training Training for campus hiring for Grant Thornton was conducted on October 2 & 3, 2018 for the shortlisted candidates on understanding JD and approaching PI. Aptitude Practice Test was conducted for ITC & Coca Cola on October 3 & 4, 2018. Company specific Training for MRF campus hiring was facilitated by Prof.G K Suresh on GD behaviour and practices for sales person on October 11, 2018. Peer group presentation was arranged for I MBA students (Batch 2018-20) on product mix as part of their marketing management course. Various brands of three different product lines Viz. Beauty care, home care and beverages of Unilever were brought to class and students were asked to prepare the product assortment matrix. On October 16, 2018, Mr.Maria Antony Juderaj , Manager –HR of ELGI Equipment’s addressed 135 first-year students on Training Process . He shared his real workplace experience of how training happens at ELGI and how the Training Need Identification is done. During his experience sharing session, he raised many questions to the students and all the students participated and shared their views. Marketing Forum Sales & Promotion Planning event on September 26, 2018 Le Commerciante’, the marketing forum organized the ‘Sales & Promotion Planning’ event for the students of Batch 2018-20 on September 26, 2018. The students of Ist MBA (Batch 2018-20) were given instructions and motivated to do a marketing plan for the given products and to devise promotion strategies for a specific product. The annual outbound strategic planning meet to set, Individual & Centre goals was at Kotagiri on September 29-30, 2018. The Annual Planning meet focuses on reviewing the goals set last year and the laurels & setbacks faced in achieving these goals. Faculty set the pace for the academic year 2018-19 by outlining their goals for the business school. Twenty faculties along with two administrative staff were part of the meet.
