He explained the various specialization offered in the department and the role of specialization and its importance in one’s career. Dr. P. Mohanamani and D. Susana, Assistant Professors completed the 12 week FDP on “Financial Accounting” organized by SWAYAM-NPTEL from August 8 to October 31, 2019 on November 10, 2019.

Dr.Mohanamani.P and Ms.Susuna .D, Assistant Professors attended a Faculty Development Program titled ‘Econometrics Model in Management Research’ organized by PSG Institute of Management on December 13-14, 2019. Sessions on Understanding the data, Application of Econometric techniques by using real time data and hands on usage of E-views Modelling Causality, co integration and vector error correction, impulse response and variance decomposition function were handled. Identified possibilities to introduce this as a modelling course in concentration in finance vertical and apply the techniques for the corporate project and research publications.

As part of the Market visit for I MBA (Batch 2019-21) students visited Prozone Mall on December 10, 2019. Mr.Praveen, Center Director, Prozone (Prozone Mall) addressed the students on various aspects in mall management, marketing and promotion strategies. The session was interactive and it was an eye opener to understand the scope of retail marketing. A workshop on Safety and Health at Work was organized on January 20, 2020 for I MBA 2019-21 Batch students. The objective of the course was to make the students understand the use of safety equipment and precautionary measures to avoid accidents at workplace and industry. Major Research Project under the Research Project Scheme of the ICSSR, New Delhi was received. A project grant of Rs. 5.55 Lakhs was sanctioned for the project titled ‘Investigation on Key Performance Indicators (KPIS) of Low Performing Khadi Institutions and Development of Growth Strategies for their Business Advancement’ for the period 2019-21. The focus of the study and is to investigate the reasons for downgrade of Khadi Institutions, (KI) and suggest suitable measures to improve the key performance indicators for development.
