The course on Learning and Development equips students with identifying the need, devising a learning module, developing a training content, designing the program, delivering the program and evaluation of the training. Mr. Sumant Bakshi conducted a one day workshop on Selling Skills on March 14, 2018. A total of 45 I MBA students (Batch 2017-19) attended the workshop, which included 36 core marketing students and the remaining 9 from the other domains. The selling skill workshop generated a huge interest in selling among the students. The speaker was good in keeping the students engaged throughout the session. Two focus group discussions were organized with two different stakeholders to present the product concept and elicit information regarding the same. In-house Training Program on “Lean Manufacturing Practices” was organized on March 5, 2018 for the employees working at Kongu Enginears, Arasur, Coimbatore. Team based activity was given to the 33 participants to understand the Lean concepts viz. 5S, Structured flow process, and Just-in-Time. Participants showed involvement and interest in participating in the events. Practical examples were discussed on how to reduce wastage in work place and tools and techniques required to improve a process and product quality.
